Operation Ridings was the first of its kind to involve teams from a territorial operational command unit (OCU) and the force’s specialist operations department.

Young people are to get a new shelter at their skate park in Hampshire thanks to a grant from Hampshire County Council’s Youth Opportunity Fund.

 

The grant of £9,452 was agreed by Councillor Patricia Banks, Hampshire County Council’s Executive member for Children and families at her decision day on 10 December.

Young voices to be heard in the museum world PDF Print

A project to give young people a say in how museums could be made more attractive to their generation is being launched in Hampshire with the help of a £24,700 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

 

Youngsters will be involved in Basingstoke, Winchester and Gosport. They will discuss what could be done to get more in their age group to visit museums and they will work on local heritage projects to make sure they are explained in a way that is relevant and accessible to their generation.
