Officers in Basingstoke are appealing for the victim of an attempted robbery to come forward.
The incident occurred between 5.20pm and 5.25pm on Friday, May 25 when the victim was at the cash point at Asda, Brighton Hill, Basingstoke. The victim took some money out of the cash point when a man tried to grab it from him. The victim pushed the offender away and the offender left empty handed. PC Adam Leech said: “Were you in the area around 5.20pm on Friday, May 25? Was it you who pushed the offender away at the cash point? “I am appealing for the victim of this incident to come forward to assist us with our enquiries.” A 22-year-old man from Winchester has been arrested in connection with this incident and has been released on police bail.
