What can I write about? Outside the rain is pouring down and the wind is blowing at gale force.  I know, I will look at the 1965 W.I. scrapbook to see if I can get inspiration.  Well, well, things do not change because in January of that year there is a report of a 75 ft beech tree coming down in

Pack Lane
plus 2 telegraph poles snapping bringing telephone and power lines down causing electricity failure.  Traffic had to be diverted by the police and 25 homes were in darkness.  Let us hope we do not have a repeat of that occasion.

Kempshott W.I. ended the year with a musical evening.  Pete and Maggie accomplished on the banjo, guitar and recorder entertained us with a variety of folk music and Christmas songs etc.  We finished the evening with our secret Santa presents, mince pies and coffee etc.

Our next meeting is on Monday 25th February and the subject is Colour Analysis.  We meet in Kempshott Village Hall at .  If you would like to come along as a visitor to find out what you will benefit from being a W.I member then please join us for the evening.
