Appeal for information following burglary in Basingstoke
Officers are appealing for information following a burglary at an address in Basingstoke on Thursday, September 6.

At around 12.30pm the offender gained access to a property on Yew Tree Road, North Waltham, Basingstoke by forcing open a UPVC conservatory door.

The offender was disturbed by the victims neighbour and he made off over the back fence into another property.

The man police want to speak to is described as:

    • White
    • Aged around 20
    • Around 5ft 9ins
    • Thin build
    • Short fair hair
    • Wearing smart black trousers and a white shirt with long sleeves which was open at the neck

PC Duncan Fuller said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious at the time of the incident to come forward.

“Fortunately the offender was disturbed before he had the chance to take anything.  The incident took place in the middle of the day and it is likely that someone witnessed something that could help our investigation.”

Anyone with any information regarding this incident should contact PC Fuller at Whitchurch police station on 0845 045 45 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
