Officers appeal after four elderly women fall victim to thieves in Tadley
Officers are appealing for information following four separate incidents of theft in Tadley on Friday, August 17.

The four incidents occurred between 11am and midday when the elderly victims, aged between 71 and 81, were shopping at Sainsburys, Mulfords Hill, Tadley.

While the victims were shopping the offender or offenders removed their purses from their shopping bags which were located inside their trolleys.

The victims continued with their shopping and didn’t notice their purses had been stolen until they got the checkout.

PC Richard Holland said: “The offender or offenders who have committed these crimes have done so in broad daylight in a busy supermarket.  They have deliberately targeted vulnerable members of our community.

“I would like to remind members of the community to be vigilant and to keep valuable items safe.

“I would urge anyone with any information about these incidents to get in touch and help us find those responsible.”

Anyone with any information regarding these incidents should contact PC Holland at Tadley police station on 0845 045 45 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
