Police have released two e-fits of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery in Basingstoke on Monday, June 18.
At about 7pm two 11-year-old boys were walking along the pathway at the bottom of Oldberg Gardens, leading to Delibes Close, when one of the boys was approached by a man on a bike. The man asked the boy for the time and then he took hold of the boys mobile phone and pushed him, causing the victim to let go of the phone. The offender then cycled off towards Stravinsky Road. PC Peter Hanson said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the young victim and his friend. The victim has said that he felt really shocked by what happened to him. “The two e-fits we have released are of the same person and are based on descriptions given to us by two different witnesses. “Anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit is urged to make contact with the police and help us find the person responsible for this incident.” Anyone with any information regarding this incident should contact PC Hanson at Basingstoke police station on 0845 045 45 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
