New age kurling, a football penalty shootout and felt making will be just some of the exciting activities to enjoy and watch at the Buckskin Fun Day on Saturday 21 July.

The free event will be opened by the borough’s Deputy Mayor Cllr George Hood and has been organised in partnership between Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Hampshire County Council, Kingfisher Housing Association, Kingfisher Residents’ Association and the Ridgeway Centre.

It runs from 1pm to 5pm in and around the Ridgeway Community Centre in Buckskin and offers a wide range of activities, stalls and performances to keep the whole family entertained.

Attractions will include a pirate re-enactment, line dancing, karate and capoeira displays, as well as a tombola and raffle stools. People can also try their hand at a number of activities including new age kurling.

Cabinet Member for Sport and Leisure Cllr Keith Chapman said: “The Buckskin Fun Day is a very popular event which has been running for a number of years now and is always well attended and enjoyed. I’m sure this year will be no exception with a wide range of activities and attractions to keep the whole family entertained.”

There will be an information stall with local information including crime prevention and Neighboor Hood Watch, which will be helping man.  We hope to see you there
