Residents warned following attempted burglary in Kingsclere
Residents in Kingsclere are being reminded to keep their homes secure following an attempted burglary in the village.

Sometime between 6pm on Friday, June 22 and 4pm on Tuesday, June 26, an attempt was made to enter an address in Garrett Close, Kingsclere.

Someone had entered the rear garden of the property and attempted to force the rear door. Fortunately, they did not gain entry to the house.

PC Richard Holland, of Tadley police station, said: “This attempt occurred in a quiet rural village during a period of bad weather. I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area of Garrett Close over the weekend and would urge them to get in touch.

“I would also remind residents to ensure that all doors and windows are securely locked and any valuables kept out of sight.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Holland at Tadley police station on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
