Police appeal following burglary at yard in Old Basing |

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a yard in Old Basing, Basingstoke.
At some time between 6pm on Friday, June 1 and 5am on Saturday, June 2, the offenders gained access to a yard, belonging to a tree surgeon in Still Waters, Basing Road, Old Basing. Once inside, the offenders forced entry into a metal ISO container and took a number of chain saws and strimmers. PC Sarah Stokes said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area around this time who may have seen the offender or offenders taking a number of tools from the secure metal container. “It is possible that someone may have been offered these items for sale. If you are offered these items for sale, please contact the police at the earliest opportunity and help us find the people responsible for this crime.” Anyone with any information regarding this incident should contact PC Stokes at Basingstoke police station on 0845 045 45 45 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
