Police in Basingstoke seek information following indecent exposure
Police in Basingstoke are appealing for witnesses and information following an indecent exposure in Brighton Hill on Wednesday, May 16.

At 4pm, an eight-year-old girl and her mother were walking through Woodchip Park, adjacent to Bernstein Road, when a man exposed himself to the pair.

The girl’s father chased the man but lost sight of him.

The man is described as:

  • White
  • 6ft
  • With a slightly flushed complexion
  • Wearing a black beanie hat, a dark blue long sleeved top, brown woollen jogging bottoms with two white strips down each side, and ankle length black boots covered in light dried mud

PC Brent Williams, of Basingstoke police station, said: “The man has been seen on a number of occasions prior to this incident and we are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the description.

“We would also advise any member of the public who sees a man fitting this description to contact police immediately and not approach him as it is believed he may carry a knife.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Williams at Basingstoke police station on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
