Information sought following Basingstoke fire

Police in Basingstoke are appealing for information following a fire in Wilmott Way, Basingstoke, at 8pm on Thursday, May 3.

Officers were called to reports a shed had been set alight, causing a fence to ignite. The fire spread to a nearby parked Land Rover Freelander, causing damage to the vehicle.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Anyone with any information about the fire, or who saw anyone in the area acting suspiciously, should contact PC Brent Williams at Basingstoke police station on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
