Appeal for return of stolen alpacas from Tunworth farm

Police in Whitchurch are appealing for information after two baby llamas were stolen from a Tunworth Farm.

Sometime between 3.30pm on Wednesday, January 10 and 7.30am on Thursday, January 11, the two alpacas were stolen from a farm in Tunworth.

PC Andy Reid said: “It would have taken more than one person to steal these animals, and those responsible would have needed some sort of transit type vehicle to move them from the farm.

“The animals, which are only seven months old, would have been very distressed at being taken from their mother and I am urging anyone who knows of there whereabouts to contact police so we can reunite the alpacas with their mother.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Reid at Whitchurch police station on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

For more information on these animals, please contact the British Alpaca Society at http://www.bas-uk.com/
