Unlucky Rose Misses Out on Title

Justin Rose had a mixed last round in the US Masters.  He started the day in Joint secound as well placed for his first major success.  Unfortunatly he started badley with a double Bogey at the first and third hole and a bogey at the fourth.  However he fought back with birdies at holes, 2, 8, 9, 11, 15 and 16.

This left Justin one shot off the lead with two holes to play the leader and eventual winner was Zac Johnson and he had finished, which left just a few players out on the course.  Of these the only two who could win or tie the lead were Justin Rose and Tiger Woods.

It seems though that the pressure may have got to Justin as a wayward drive on the 17th left him deep in the rough and that left him with a lot to do and he ended up with a double bogey.  Leaving him three behiend with just the 18th left.

This is the best result Justin Rose has had in a Major since he suprised everyone with his performance in the 1998 Open at Royal Birkdale when he was an amateur.  Hopefully he will win a major soon, possibly later this year.
