Details: Basingstoke Silver Band has been practicing and performing brass band music in the area since it was formed over a century ago, and combines a strong local musical reputation with providing a warm welcome to audiences and players alike.

The band is currently looking for people interested in joining the training band. This is an excellent opportunity for people who already play a brass instrument to join a friendly group to gain further experience, encouragement and support. Instruments can be provided.

We can also take complete beginners, though you will need to be able to read music to a basic level.

We reherse on Friday evenings at the Elizabeth Hall in Hook and regularly perform at concerts and events throughout Hampshire and occasionally further afield. This year for example the band is travelling to Ireland in May for a four day tour.
