This community section is for community news and information.  It website allows you to find out the information from your local community.  Or from another community area of Basingstoke.

Basingstoke has a wide variety of communities ranging from the older Victorian terraced houses close to the town and in Brookvale to new modern suburbs like Chineham or Beggarwood.  Then away from the town there are a number of villages and smaller towns like Tadley, Whitchurch, or Bramley.  These communities are very different and all support many different groups and activities.  From the menu on the right just click on the community you want more information on, this will take you to that communities area of the website.

We have tried to provide a single source of information that then allows you to go to other more specific websites to obtain the information you require.  Each section includes local news provided by people in the community.  These could be the local community magazine, the local police, local support groups, the council and members of the public.  If you have some news which you feel would be useful then please either register and submit the news or email it to the editor.  There are also links for local community groups which will then help you find more information on each of the groups.

If you are looking for a community group or a local club then please look in our community directory, many will have a link from the community section in which they are based, but often you do not have to live in the community to take part.  There are details of clubs, activity groups, specialist clubs as well as community announcements and local councils and councillors.  If your club, or group isn’t listed or one that you know about isn’t listed then please ensure that they get listed for the benefit of others.  All listings in the community directory are FREE and we are hoping to have the largest and most up to date list of community groups in the area.  To add a listing is very easy and straightforward or you can contact us and we will ensure that it gets listed.

Don't forget to look into the Photo Gallery; we have plenty of photo's including photos from areas around Basingstoke and from events in the Basingstoke Borough including the popular Balloons Over Basingstoke. We are always interested in getting photos from around the area or from events that are going on and welcome photos from the public, which you can upload yourself or email to us.
