The Basingstoke Concert Band is proud to announce details of it's forthcoming
Christmas Concert at 7.30pm on Saturday 15th December at Sherfield-on-Loddon
Village Hall.
The season to be jolly is nearly upon us and to get you in
the Festive spirit the Basingstoke Concert Band would like to invite you to
their popular Christmas Concert. Once again the concert will be held
at Sherfield-on-Loddon Village Hall starting at 7.30 pm on the evening
of Saturday 15th December.
There will be plenty of opportunities for
the audience to join in with
traditional Christmas Carols as well as a whole
host of seasonal
selections to get the Christmas spirit flowing!
The
band has been busy in 2007 with the usual round of bandstand
performances in
Basingstoke and the surrounding areas and another
successful Spring Concert
in May. September of this year saw the band
perform their first Proms in the
Park Concert. The Walled Gardens at Down
Grange provided a wonderful venue
and the fabulous weather helped a lot
too! The programme was full of all the
old favourites including Rule
Britannia and Pomp and Circumstance and the
audience readily joined in
with plenty of flag waving. The concert was a huge
success and the band
are hoping to repeat it next year. The Christmas Concert
is always the
finale to the year's performances and this concert look set to
finish the
year on a high note.
