New police beat surgery dedicated to the community of Eastrop
Basingstoke Town South’s Safer Neighbourhoods team is launching a new dedicated police surgery specifically for residents and other members of the Eastrop community. Beat surgeries are an opportunity for those in the neighbourhood to drop by, and meet the beat officers responsible for policing in their local area.  They can chat to the officers about any safety, crime prevention or general policing issues which may be concerning them.  It’s a chance not only to ask for advice, but to help set the agenda for policing priorities in their own community.

Eastrop’s two dedicated beat officers are PC Lee Stanbrook and PCSO Alex Wheatland.  They will be accompanied at the beat surgery by Councillor Stuart Parker.

PCSO Wheatland said:  “The idea of the surgery is for residents, and anyone else in the Eastrop community, to drop by, get to know us, and discuss any concerns they might have, such as anti-social behaviour.”

The surgery will be held at Carnival Hall on Council Road on Wednesday, October 24, from 5pm to 7pm.  Absolutely everyone is welcome and appointments are not necessary; just drop by and say hello!

If you would like to speak to your local beat officers at any other time, you can contact them by calling 0845 045 45 45 or by visiting the local policing pages at www.hampshire.police.uk.
