Tickets for the popular Mayor’s Annual Charity Ball are selling fast, so Mayor Tony Jones is urging residents to ensure they don’t miss out on having a good time while raising money for worthy local causes.
Dinner and dancing to professional live five piece band Lynx Groove are included in the ticket price of £35 for the event at The Anvil on Friday 27 April from 7pm.
Cllr Tony Jones said: “I don’t want residents and businesses to miss out on this great opportunity to help benefit these worthy local causes, while enjoying themselves at the same time
“All funds raised from the raffle and tombola will go towards my charity appeal. The Salvation Army is rebuilding the Community Hall in Wessex Close and funds from my charity appeal will fit out the kitchen. I’m also supporting Basingstoke Hospital Radio to purchase a new console so that they can keep in touch with the patients.
“Saxon Wood School has already got a new SMART board and Limington House School now has a camcorder thanks to my charity appeal having done so well. I hope the ball will help to boost this charity fundraising even more.”
Tickets are available from Debbie Collins, Mayoral Co-ordinator on 01256 845591 or from the Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke RG21 4AH.
